Hi, I have not posted anything lately due to going in and out of doctors and now, finally, things have calmed down quite a bit.
I noticed on my previous blogs my pictures of my paintings are no longer showing. I am frustrated. I don't know why they aren't there. I hope I can somehow fix it and not have it happen again.
I am currently working on more paintings and can't really decide what to do on my sunset one. I have just stared at it for days and I've got nothing.
Painters block... I guess.
If you have any idea on why my paintings disappeared, I'd like to know. I don't want it happening again.

I have done more paintings this last couple of days, sorry if you see my puppy. She loves to be included in the pictures for some reason, hahaha. So please excuse her. :)
Here are some paintings I have done as I am learning some tricks and how to's, I'm sorry, I don't have the best background or lighting. I am still working on how to show my paintings off. This is all a work in progress. As time goes on, I will have a better way to picture them and post:

I have not painted or drawn a person in ages, she somehow came out beautifully. This particular painting took me quite some time but I love how she turned out.
I love this painting. I need to make another one of her.
And I got to speak to (long story how this happened and I won't go into details) one of the Disney Imagineers that worked on the Little Mermaid. I had a fan moment. Love!

I know there are mistakes in this drawing but I enjoyed drawing him. I need to find a better eraser to somehow remove my mistakes. Otherwise, I did a pretty good good for just doodling.
Sometimes as an artist not all that you do is perfect or great but we have to go with the punches.. or paint over it, haha. That may or may not be something I did with this one, haha.

Beginning with Paint
I am new to Acrylic Painting.. not sure why I didn't start painting a long time ago but I should have! Its better than Crayons and Color Pencils and MARKERS!! Painting has changed my way of doing Art and thinking. Its changed my life!
Here is my beginning of some of the work I've done. I am still trying to find the right tools and this is just me, teaching me so anyways, here goes nothing.
Oh and excuse the background, I was having a hard time finding good lighting and I was working at at the time so I have limited places to go and to take pictures of what I've been doing while I work:
Even artist have bad day creating things, I did:
This is another one of my favorites, I can't believe her face came out so well. I haven't drawn a person in 15 yrs. I plan to paint more of her and other things too:

My Heart's Creation of Art Bio
Hi, my name is Vero... well, actually its Veronica but I go by Vero. My preferred name. I'm from California but reside in good ol'... well, another state. And no, its not the state of 'denial', hahaha! I am Hispanic... as you can probably tell in my picture. I've been mistaken as Hawai'ien (<<spell check), Native American, New Zealander, Indian... everything but SalvadoreƱa Americana. I love giving people a chance to figure out what my nationality is. It can be quite entertaining. There was once, I just sat and curiously listened to what was the end result of two cute little old men arguing where I am from. It lasted a good half an hour. Funniest conversation in my life! I am pretty sport, and I am a terrible writer. I might accidentally write things in Spanglish. That's my brain not turning off the other language for me. *shrug*
My boyfriend and I have some adorable fur babies that I will show in the following pictures.
Here they are, they are our love of our lives:
Anyway, I have drawn ever since I can remember. I use to sit during class and do portraits of my friends when they weren't paying attention, never keeping them, I wish I never gave them away. Lesson learned.
I always thought I would be an Artist for Walt Disney. An Imagineer (<<I'm spelling it wrong, aren't I?). Word on the street is they do more computer art/graphics... which truthfully, it hurts my vision. So of course, that went out the door but I still wanted to draw for them.... not really sure why but that's what I wanted since I was a child.
I love Disney and their movies. And my neighbor, she was (or maybe still is) an Disney Illustrator/ Imagineer (??) and a wonderful human being! She and a few other people have pushed me several times to keep practicing, keep working on it, and as time goes by, I will get better. Recently, I put up a picture of something I had drawn and surprisingly won First Place. I cried.
My boyfriend and a few friends are exciting to see that I am picking my lost hobby: Drawing and painting.
Anyhow, I stopped drawing years ago because repeatedly I was told its "a dead end job", "I would have no future in it", "stop drawing, its ridiculous! Do something easy like a desk job". I do a desk job *sigh* but I also paint. I haven't stopped with the drawing or painting completely. I can't. But I did stop believing in myself. I graduated in Arts for my Associate's Degree and have done really nothing sense. It hasn't been since recent years where I was begged from some friends to draw for them. To compete in a carving a pumpkin, something I've never done. I did, and I won. I once put in my art in the State Fair. I was deathly afraid to do it but I won First Place in Amateur (something) and I cried.
I draw for fun and sometimes I paint for homemade gifts. As I have grown, I'd like to do a little more than work at a desk job. I'd like to explore and grow in the world of art, I'd like to show off my talent and I'd like to love what I do a little more. So here goes.... nothing as some people say. *sigh*
The purpose of this page is to give me the courage to show off my skills, and hopefully, one day, sale my art work.
Here is a picture of me, just a day hanging out with elephants, hahaha, actually we were visiting 'Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum' in Oregon.

If you have a love or a dream to do something just because someone else doesn't believe in it, doesn't mean you shouldn't believe in you. Believe in yourself. Dream big and make your dreams come true. Just a thought.
